London – The Springbok Star Crazy de Jaeger has signed for the Premier League Sale of sharks from the Super Rugby franchise Bulls, the English club announced on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old is 38 times since debuting the Springboks Test in 2014 – he has signed a three-year contract and will join either the start of the Premiership season or more likely after the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
De Jagger, who left the shoulder wound and is likely to come out by the end of June, said he was impressed by the ambitious goals that Sallet and their director at rugby had Steve Diamond.
"They are a club with great traditions and really high ambitions and building something really special," De Jager said.
Diamond is a habit of signing high-ranking players, including England, Chris Ashton, South Africa, Faff de Klerk and Australia James O'Connor.
"He (De Jager) is a world-class operator with much experience at the highest level and offers a huge physical presence on the pitch," says Diamond.
"Crazy signing is a declaration of intent in our efforts to become a force in the Premiership and Europe over the next three years."
