Proteas claims third place in the latest ICC ODI charts

New Zealand slipped from South Africa to fourth place in the ICC ODI after losing a 4: 1 series to India.

New Zealand now has 111 points, the same as South Africa, but behind the decimal point, even as the second India have won one point to overcome the gap with the ICC World Cup 2019 hosts of England. England is at the table with 126 points and India is 122.

India and New Zealand would stay on their preliminary series of 121 and 113 points, respectively, if the hosts won a win in the last match in Wellington on Sunday for a score of 3-2.

Virat Kohli had rested for the last two ODIs with Rohit Sharma, who took over the captain, after a small ellipse in the fourth game they bounced off to finish the series in fine style.

Protest defeated Pakistan to attract the T20I winning series

Pakistan, which lost the next series of South Africa 3-2 last week, is fifth in position with 102 points, while world champions Australia are sixth with 100 points.

Protei ODI's next commitment will be in their five-match series against Sri Lanka, which begins on March 3rd and is preceded by a test series against the same opponent and the last T20I against Pakistan.
