President Kiril Ramaphosha is expected to announce changes to the National Executive of Union Buildings, Pretoria, at 15:00 on Thursday.
In a statement issued Thursday morning, the presidency said that "these changes were caused by the death of Environment Minister Ms Edna Molewa in September 2018 and the more recent resignation of Interior Minister Mr. Malusi Gigaba ",
Gigaby resigned as cabinet minister on 13 November amid a series of reps on his public image, ranging from leaked sex tape and found to be violating the Code of Conduct under oath.
"I did it after a long period of continuous and windy public attacks against my integrity, and I want to say that my resignation is not my fault," Gigaba said in a statement on the day he resigned.
He said the integrity of the government and the ANC is more important than his political power. He resigned as a member a few days later.

Changes in the Cabinet in February
Earlier this year, Ramafosa announced significant changes to his cabinet in February after taking office as president of Jakob Zuma.
Then Ramaphos describes his office as "transient."
"No, no, it is a transitional cabinet, and the Cabinet will take us to the next election," Ramaphos told Anika Larsen.
Ramafosa said the ANC leadership has still offered proposals to reconfigure a new cabinet.
