The German tuner pushes the BMW M850i to an unbelievable 493 kW …

Ever think that 390 kW are not powerful enough for you? Well, the German tuner G-Power agrees and released the first details of a pair of tuning kits for the new BMW M850i with all-wheel drive.

While the Autenzell-based tuner has so far released limited information on improvements, he has at least revealed that two power upgrade software packages will be available.

The first one pushes the M Performance version of the new 4-liter 4-liter V8 gasoline engine of the 390 kW and 750 Nm series to an even lighter 456 kW and 850 N.m.

And the second one? Well, in the second stage of the package (which includes new drainage pipes and catalytic converters), the peak outputs are increased to 493 kW and 890 Nm. This is probably much more than the upcoming M8 …

G-Power has not yet released its performance claims, but it is expected that the tuned version of the all-wheel drive will greatly improve in the claimed Sprint time of 3.7 seconds. We assume that the electronically limited maximum speed of 250 km / h will also change.

Of course, G-Power is not the first German tuner to install the M850i, with AC Schnitzer and Manhart revealing their respective improvements (including new bodywork and wheels) late in 2018.
