For the first time in history a sound created by the wind from Mars – Telam

NASA released online the sound of the vibrations generated by the Martian wind gusts against the InSight spacecraft sensors that appeared on the red planet on November 26th.

Scientists from Nassa report that the wind is between 5 and 7 meters per second, from the northwest to the southeast, and is recorded and transmitted to Earth on December 1.

The audio is produced thanks to two extremely faithful sensors, one of the pressure and one of the earthquakes that record vibrations on InSight's base and arm. Its sound is raised in two octaves to make it more fragile, and it's recommended to use a bass speaker to hear it better.
