Hidden screens and flexible screens on Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi phones

View of Xiaomi's flexible prototype.

With the Galaxy S10, Galaxy X or Fold, A View of Honor 20 and Mi Mix Flex, companies such as Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi are betting on mobile phones with screens that have cavities and flexible screens in 2019 that are no longer solid.

Honor View 20 is one of Huawei's first mobile phones, whose screen has a hole that allows you to eliminate eyebrows or slit and keep very small bevels. Similar to this mobile phone, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy A8s at the end of last year and is expected to have the same functionality and even have two openings for two front cameras.

Now, Samsung has also given us a glimpse into what the Galaxy X or Galaxy will be Galaxy Fold, the company's first flexible mobile phone.

Like this mobile phone, Xiaomi publishes a video that also shows a prototype of the folding phone, but although Xiaomi and Samsung use flexible screens for these new phones, the Samsung device doubles its screen inward and has an additional external panel while this the Chinese company has a screen that bends out in a total of three parts.

Huawei and companies like LG also confirmed that they are working on a folding or flexible cellular class but have not shown any signs yet.

The truth is that in recent years cell phone design has not developed dramatically, but has been a specific change.

However, with these two new trends in cavity screens and flexible screens that allow mobile phones to be created, mobile devices receive new air.

Although I believe that the screen difference is much more attractive than the traditional eyebrow because it takes up less space and blocks less content, folding handsets or flexible mobile phones have not yet proven to be really useful or that benefit.

Companies rely on the use of flexible cell technology to offer a device that can be converted into a tablet, thus providing not only the traditional portability of a mobile phone but also the possibility of having a larger screen for viewing fun content .

This can be an important benefit, but from what we saw, it also means that mobile phones will be much thicker than current ones, and screen bending can cause interference problems (this may not happen with Samsung's bet because the screen bends inward).

It is clear that none of these technologies is perfect, but they will evolve to offer a better experience. This is just the beginning of these two conversions, and it will be interesting to see what companies will do to give a new shape to the mobile phones of the future.
