Tinder will pay $ 23 million for discrimination against users over 30 years of age – Télam

Tinder's dating platform will pay a total of $ 23 million to around 230,000 people who have filed a lawsuit against the company in the United States for higher-cost discrimination for consumers aged over 30, according to an out-of-court settlement. this Friday

The Spanish EFE agency reported that the lawsuit filed last April in a California court accused Tinder of "discriminating" consumers over 29 years of age, doubling the payment of the Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold services which are some additional benefits in terms of free service .

The company based in West Hollywood (California) justifies this price difference by ensuring that adolescents and 20-year-olds have lower purchasing power and need lower prices to use the service but the plaintiffs believe it represents exercise for age discrimination.
