Walmart shrinks Page12

Walmart supermarkets announced the closure of optical services that have been offered in 20 of 91 branches. The company's intention is "to concentrate on channels where long-term growth is expected". Adjustments affect 40 employees, with whom supermarkets reach voluntary retirement agreements. Walmart has just sold 12 stores to the Dia% chain. The local economic crisis also translates into an increasingly shrinking decision by French company Carrefour, which reconfigures its hypermarket business at wholesale supermarkets, within the framework of crisis prevention procedures.
