PlayStation Classic: Details: Game versions, multiplayer features, memory cards, resolution, etc.

Sony has answered several questions about the upcoming PlayStation Classic Mini console, revealing some new details about the Plug and Play device. The much smaller replica of the first PlayStation (no disk drive) has 20 pre-installed games and is available from December 3, 2018 with two cable controllers (cable length: 1.5 meters) for 99.99 euros. PS Classic is only compatible with PS Classic controllers. Depending on the game, the video output resolution is 720p or 480p, and depending on the playback device, the resolution may be increased or not.

Battle Arena Toshinden, Cool The Boarders 2, Destruction Derby, Grand Theft Auto, Jumping Flash, Oddessorld of Abe, Cut Cut, Tekken 3 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six are based on the PAL version of the games. Final Fantasy 7, Intelligent Qube, Metal Solid, Mr. Driller, Rayman, Persona, R4 Ridge Racer Type 4, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Siphon Filter, Twisted Metal and Wild Arms are available as NTSC versions. The following games include multiplayer mode for two: Battle Arena Toshinden, Cool Boarders 2, Destruction Derby, Intelligent Qube, Mr Driller, Ridge Racer Type 4, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, Tekken 3, Rainbow Six and Twisted by Tom Clancy Metal.

For games originally released on two drives (for example, Final Fantasy 7 and Metal Gear Solid), the virtual disk can be changed using the console opening button.
