Vienna Stock Exchange (afternoon) – ATX lost 0.25%

Vienna (APA) – The Vienna Stock Exchange showed weaker today, Wednesday afternoon. The ATX is calculated at 14.15 with 3,007.03 points, which is minus 7.45 points or 0.25 percent. For comparison: DAX / Frankfurt + 0.29%, FTSE-100 / London + 0.53% and CAC -40 / Paris + 0.40%.

From an economic point of view, industrial data from the euro area for December turned to investors. Total production declined by 0.9% on a monthly basis. Analysts were hoping for another hurdle, but expected an average reduction of only 0.4%.

Compared to a sector, local bank shares followed the weaker trends in the European financial sector. For example, Erste Group shares have sold 0.31%. Raiffeisen lost 1.35% and BAWAG even fell 2.65%.

Shares of Schoeller-Bleckmann showed a clear increase in prices. Shares of the oil supplier rose by 4.32%, recovering from last week's losses.

Verbund's shares continue to be very weak. Shares of electricity companies lost 3.70% in a weak European environment. The values ​​of international industrial colleagues such as E.ON, Enel and RWE also showed losses. According to a report by the Press, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Gerhard Rosis wants to announce his resignation today at a meeting with Finance Minister Hartvig Leger (ÖVP).

Telecom Austria shares also lost 1.38%. The group submitted on Tuesday after closing market data for the past financial year. The operating result decreased by 4.6% to EUR 424 million. Sales rose by 1.8% to 4.47 billion euros.

ATX recorded the previous day's maximum at about 9:45 am At 3,223.04 points, with the daily drop being 3,115.87 units at about 1:15 hours. ATX Prime declined by 0.22% to 1 520.59 points. At 14.15, the primary market lists 15 higher-priced shares, 21 lower and nothing unchanged. In one share so far there has been no pricing.

To date, 1,371,643 (previous day: 1,414,174) shares have been converted to the primary market (single counting) with a market value of approximately EUR 38,026 (EUR 38,13 million) (double counting). So far, Erste Group is the best-selling brochure with 266,842 traded shares, which corresponds to a market value of about 8.48 million euros.
