The Apple brand temporarily switched off Apple Watch's Walkie-Talkie feature after detecting vulnerability to spying.
Apple Watch has a Walkie-Talkie application for dialogue with another owner of this watch. However, this feature has been disabled due to an error.
Apple has admitted to TechCrunch's website that it is aware of the vulnerability, but for the time being, there is no mention of the fraudulent use of the service against a client. The downside would allow a person to listen to another user without his knowledge, which is why Apple temporarily stopped the Walkie-talkie function to fix the problem.
The company, led by Tim Cook, said: We've just realized the vulnerability of the Walkie-Talkie app in Apple Watch and turned off the feature until we can fix the problem quickly. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and restore functionality as soon as possible.
Although we are not aware of any use of vulnerability against a client and that specific conditions and sequences of events are required to use it, we take seriously the safety and privacy of our customers. We apologize again for this problem and the inconvenience ,
Apple's teams are currently working on a fix, the application will be returned to a service once the issue is resolved.
