Death of American country singer Roy Clark at the age of 85 years

Country singer Roy Clark died Thursday of pneumonia at home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, The Recording Academy reported on Thursday.

Roy Clark was born in 1933 in Virginia. He learned to play guitar and banjo as a child. He has recorded hits such as "When I Was Young Yesterday" and "Come Live With Me". "Country music loses one of the musicians he loves the most," writes The Recording Academy.
