The Cascavel Healthcare Department sent a note on the death of a child that happened at the São Lucas Hospital on Monday (22).
According to the information, the girl would die this morning, but the confirmation of death would be done only after the LACEN examinations.
Faced with the situation, City also sent some guidelines and precautions regarding the disease.
"In the case of death in children registered in the private dawn network on Monday (22), the municipal health service informs that shortly after being informed about death, a case investigation process is under way.
Acriança presents non-specific symptoms: cough, fever, respiratory distress, vomiting. Initiated medicines recommended by the Member States and collected for respiratory viral screening. And, as in the case of UPA in the previous week, the confirmation of the cause of death depends on the LACEN examinations.
Epidemiological surveillance recommends that in case of suspected cases of respiratory syndrome, they should seek care at the health service for evaluation, diagnosis and indication of the medicines as soon as possible. The Secretariat is still benefiting from the strengthening of the call for the population recommended by the Ministry of Health to obtain a flu vaccine to seek healthcare units to receive the dose. It also strengthens the guidelines for hygienic and preventative action: Washing hands with soap and water, especially before eating, prioritizing ventilated environments, avoiding agglomerations; use of alcoholic gel; cover the nose and mouth with coughing and sneezing tissue (discard after use) if it is not possible to use tissues, use the breathing label (coughing and sneezing in the elbow).
