So far 91 people have died of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)
Another man has died since January this year in Minas Gerais. The case was registered at the Juiz de Fora in Zona da Mata due to the operation of a non-subtype influenza A virus. The information was revealed by the State Department of Health (SES-MG) in an epidemiological newsletter published Friday (17).
In addition, in 2019, the state reported two deaths from the disease. The first death occurred in Belo Horizon and is associated with influenza A (H1N1).
According to the Secretariat, in cases confirmed by influenza, the majority was due to subtype A (97.4%), followed by the occurrence of influenza B at a rate of 2.6%.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome
In Minas Gerais, 945 cases of severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) have been reported. 91 of them died. One of the SARS deaths is caused by influenza A (H1N1).
