LAS VEGAS – Authorities say a visitor to Las Vegas, who visited Luxor and Mandalay Bay earlier this month, had measles and may have exposed other people to it.
The Southern Nevada Health District confirmed the measles case Thursday.
The disease can be highly contagious, so health officials advise people who may have been screened for their immunization status.
Symptoms can start within 21 days after exposure to the virus.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that there have been no reported measles cases this year in Clark County residents.
