An 80-year-old woman returns to hospital after an on-fire fire in the Vancouver residential building.
Vancouver Fire Service received calls for fire in the 700-block West 8th Avenue shortly after 2:30 am on Saturday morning, according to assistant operations chief Kevin Wilson.
Employees reacted to the fire and saved the woman from the apartment on the third floor.
Wilson said she had suffered first-degree burns by her neck, hands, face, and back.
He said the building he lived in was old and he did not have a sprinkler system installed to help fight the flames but the crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other apartments in the building.
The fire was ruled by accident.
