Manchester United – Manchester United took home 0-0 away from the Crystal Palace fight in the English Premier League on Saturday after the unrelated side of Jose Mourinho fell further behind the lead package.
Boos congratulated the last whistle at Old Trafford, such was the attack of hosts against one country without winning the title for 10 weeks.
The Palace threatened to leave the stadium with all three points for the first time since 1989 but had to deal with the situation as United failed to win the victory it needed desperately to launch its campaign.
Murray's side is 14 points behind Manchester City and maybe more worrying is to miss a great chance to narrow the gap to the top four.
Wilfried Zaha was tortured by United, his former club, and Cheycheu Kuwait had a goal that gave up the offensive afternoon when Patrick Van Aanholt and Andros Townsend lost great chances for the palace.
Chris Slaughter missed his own chance and Romelu Lukaku saw that his goal was forbidden, but that was not a performance that satisfied fans of Old Trafford. Paul Pogo's deputy was greeted warmly, and snookes turned in a loud voice after all.
