The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a seizure of crispy chicken breasts to Crisp & Delicious due to possible salmonella contamination.
Raw chopped chicken bits are sold in packs of 1.6 kg with the best until July 19, 2019 (upc code 0 69299 11703 5).
They have been distributed by Sofina Foods Inc. in British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and possibly other provinces.
Selected products must be discarded or returned to the store where they were purchased.
CFIA argues that the remark is triggered by findings from its investigation into the outbreak of food-borne illnesses.
Symptoms of salmonella poisoning may include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea, while long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
