Fiat Chrysler is pulling out more than 182,000 pickups around the world to repair an electric problem that can ruin the steering.
Withdrawal includes the Ram 1500 pick-ups of the 2019 model. Most are in the US and Canada. One third are still in dealerships.
The company said on Friday that the battery was not properly assembled in production. The connection can be loosened, which switches off the power steering. Drivers can still manage, but the efforts they make are not consistent.
The FCA says there are no reports of crashes or injuries.
Dealers will provide the owners with no cost. Fiat Chrysler says there is no date to start seizure, but according to US law it must start within 60 days.
Canadians can search for potential reminders on the Canadian website.
