Christine Sinclair is elected for the 14th time by the Canadian footballer of the year.
Sinclair scored 177 goals in 274 appearances for Canada.
At the club's front, she played all 2160 minutes for Portland Tornes when they finished second in the NWSL. She scored nine goals and ended up tied for third in the league with six assists, with the thorns attaining the championship title in the league.
The award was decided by a vote of Canadian media and coaches. The men's winner will be announced on Wednesday.
