Two former baseball players were killed in a car accident on Thursday night after playing a winter league in Venezuela, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Rivero driver deviated from the road, trying to avoid the rock, according to an article by BeisbolPlay.com. While Revo and the driver survived the shipwreck, a police report said Castillo and Valbuena died after they were thrown out of the car, the Times said.
Castillo plays in majors from 2004 to 2008 with Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros. Valbuena plays 11 seasons with Seattle Sailors, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Astros, and Los Angeles Angels.
