Linne remains hot with five goals in the Jets victory over the Blues

ST. LOUIS – Patrick Line never imagined a challenge against the NHL record for a single game.

Winnipeg coach Paul Morris did not share the modesty of his young leg.

Lynn recorded the 61st five-goal game in the NHL history Saturday night when the Jets defeated San Luis Blues 8-4.

"I'm surprised that this did not happen earlier," Morris said. "On the night he scored his three, he has the chances of getting more."

Linne did not share the confidence of his coach.

"If anyone thinks it's going to be easy, it's not like that," Linus said. "Every goal you win in this league is difficult, it's the best league in the world, obviously five points, it's pretty unreal, but for those who think it's easy, that's not the case.

The last player to score five goals was Johan Franzin of Detroit Red Wings on Feb. 2, 2011. Toronto's Dariel Sitler Michael Leafs was the last player to score six goals in a game on April 22, 1976 against Boston.

Joe Malone, who played in the early days of the NHL with Montreal Canadians, scored seven goals in a Quebec bulldog game in January 1920. He also had a six-goal match and three five-goal games.

Brandon Tanev, Blake Wyller and Brandon Lemyu also scored for the Jets, who scored their first loss of the season.

Laurent Brosoit scored four goals in 27 shots for his first career against St. Louis. He improved to 4-1-1.

Chad Johnson scored six goals in 25 shots and fell to 2-5-0. He was pulled in favor of Jake Allen after allowing Laine's sixth and fourth goals to play. Alan stopped nine of the 11 arrows he stood up.

Five naked bursts of Lin gave him 16 goals in November 10 and 11 in his last four races.

"I felt like every time I touched the puff that somehow came," said Linne. "It was one of those nights. Probably will not happen for a while but we hope it will happen. "It was a great night for me and my friends.

Lean's lines, Brian Little and Kyle Connor came together to help four of Linne's five goals.

"It's there," he said a little about how Lin's performance is doing what he has seen during his career. "Honestly, every time we have the band, we will make several passes, and Patty was wide open in the slot and we just found it." I think he missed one chance tonight and scored everything else, so it shows how good he is from the shooter. "

Linne scored his first goal at 16:26 in the first period when he buried the Little food for just 41 seconds after Wheeler knocked the game 1 with his fourth goal of the season.

Tarasenko finished the match 2 – all 1:24 after releasing a series of 10 games without a goal scored by his seventh season match.

Linne's second goal came to a strong game with Vladimir Tarasenko, who has a two-minute penalty for rudeness and put Winnipeg 3-2.

Linne finished his seventh hat-trick in his career and third on November when he beat Johnson 12:53 in the second period.

Bloody defender Joel Edmundson struggled with Taylor Myers just after Line's third goal, but it did nothing to change the resemblance when Linee scored the fourth goal later during this period.

Linne leveled off with the fifth of the match when he pushed the soccer from "Little" alongside Allen, became the 45th player in NHL's history to score a five-goal game.

"We have to play it harder," said Blues on left wing David Perron. "It's almost like we respect him too much."

Perron, Ryan O'Reilly and Pat Maroon also scored for the blues who did not win consecutive matches after winning over Carolina and San Jose on November 6 and November 9.

"It's hard to swallow, especially after the efforts we made last night, winning with such a team," Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo said. – We have to be ready to play.

NOTES: Blues LW Brayden Schenn is skating in his 100th meeting with the team. , Preron scored his first goal in 14 games. .. Jets RW Blake Wheeler skateboarding in his 800th NHL career career. Laine scored 13 goals in 11 career against St. Louis.

Jets: Hosts Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday

Blues: In Detroit, start a three-game trip on Wednesday.
