LOS ANGELES – Nicki Minaj says she cancels her BET Experience Concert after her network has heard of her and other rapper Cardi B.
Minaj said on Monday in the social media that he would not participate in the BET concert or awards. It comes after a BET tweet on Sunday that Minnie has been "dragged out of her lacefront" after the win of Cardi B with Grammy for best rap album.
In a statement, BET apologized to Minaj for "the pain, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused." The network says it will conduct an internal investigation. Twitter has been deleted.
A Minaj representative did not respond immediately to a comment request email.
The seventh annual concert will take place on June 20-22 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles before the BET Awards on June 23.
