The fire in the center of Edmonton causes a canvas closure in Jasser – Edmonton



Firefighters closed down a street in the center of Edmonton on Jasser Avenue on Wednesday night after a fire broke out in a commercial premises.

The Global News crew was on the Avenue Jasper Street and on 108 Street just before 19:30. and it seems that the fire has erupted in the Spa Shoe Repair.

The firefighters saw the smashing of the glass door of the business to gain access to the building, and the neighboring companies also saw smoke.

A promenade from Western Avenue Jasper was closed between streets 106 and 107, while the firefighters worked to shut out the flame.

You can see firefighters who tear the roof in an attempt to get to the flame.

About eight fire brigades were at the crime scene at about 19:30.

Later, a fireman confirmed to Global News that the fire broke out in a shoe repair shop but said other businesses were not damaged.

No injuries reported and the fire was announced at 7:35.

A total of 26 firefighters responded to the invitation, the official said. It was not clear when Jasper Avenue would be completely open.
