Earlier this month, supply chain insiders told Digitimes that Apple would release two iPads at the first level in the first half of this year. The report says the company will revive the "mini" line with the iPad mini 5 and add an initial iPad. The latter can be equipped with a 10-inch display. There can be at least one new iPad in the mix. As seen by My New Price, six new iPads have received a certificate from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
EEC Certifications are for models listed as A2123, A2124, A2153, A2154, A2133 and A2152. When you take into account that each new iPad usually has only Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + cellular, the six devices that get certificates can be turned into three new models. The certification documentation for each of the six iPads that receive the thumb of the EEC shows that they manage iOS 12. The agency certified these devices on Jan. 23 and published them today. While the EEC documentation does not include any specifications, it notes that the six are Apple tablet computers. Last year, EEC certified two new iPad models in February, just five weeks before the opening of iPads of the sixth generation.
Face ID can replace the Touch ID of the new iPad models
Apple's initial iPad models have a 9.7-inch screen. With speculation that Apple will release at least a new 10-inch model, maybe two, we can see that Apple is redesigning the main iPad tablet, similar to what it did last year with its high-end iPad Pro devices. The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models released by Apple last year took a 3.5mm headphone jack and replaced the Touch ID with Face ID. It also reduced frame sizes. Although the expected new iPad devices are home-based devices, Apple has enough technology experience to stop spending.
We can see that the new iPads and the new iPad mini switch to USB-C from Apple's own Lightning system. This was another change found in last year's iPod Pro models and makes it easier for users to connect peripherals and accessories. New tablets should be powered by the latest Apple chipset, A12 Bionic; some of the new iPads can also include support for the magnetic Apple Pencil 2. After all, the sixth generation model last year offered support for the accessory (see the image at the beginning of this article).
The new iPad has a new race after the release of Microsoft Surface Go tablets in August. At a price of $ 399 and above, these plates carry a 10-inch 1080p display and work under Windows 10. Surface Surface Surface Model Go has a twice the volume of 32GB found on the current iPad level.
If the story is repeated, we can see Apple hold an event next month to present its new tablets. Other Apple products expected to be presented in the first half of this year can also be announced. This means we will soon see the AirPower Wireless Charger, which did not show up early September 2017, and the extension of the original Wireless Ear AirPods.
