This is the happy ending hoped for by Michael Lomerier.
The famous priest, who has become an intersection in Hastings and Nanaimo, has broken his heart last week when someone stole Misha, a chihuahua-cross who has been his constant companion for five years.
The story launches a wave of support, including a proposal for help from the rescue group "Thank You Dog I'm Out", FLED-VI, Lost Pets BC and various community members.
On Thursday everything he sought was paid off.
About 9 hours ago, Facebook user Kirin Lit announced that Misha was safely and safely positioned.
"I am very grateful to Garrett, who identifies her with all the cover and the Vice President who has arrested his kidnapper," he writes.
"And, of course, for the thousands of followers who shared Mischa's misery with safety.
Misha disappeared last Thursday when Lorimer walked into the chicken churches of Nanaimo and Hastings to use the toilet.
Lorimer, who is not homeless, has become a panhallard after the crash left him in a wheelchair with a spinal cord injury.
He told Global News last week that the rescue dog is the closest thing he left to the family.
– She's my dog. I lost my wife and my parents. It's the only thing I left, "he said.
