Disney has given the world its first look at the trailer for their upcoming remake of The Lion King, giving viewers a strong hit of nostalgia
Director Jon Favreau, who also made a "Jangle Book" remake in 2016, and Disney seem to stick to the source material – recreating the opening of the original movie with the first trailer trailer.
Although not all pictures are identical, sun shots that rise above African savanna and Simba's baptism will surely return pleasant memories of fans of the original.
But nostalgia is not the only thing to be served because James Earl Jones is the only returning member of the voices by giving his immediate identifiable voice to Mufasa's father, Simba, and the Land of the Land Priest.
He joins a new actor, including some big names like Donald Glover and Beyonce. Billy Eichner and Seth Roggen round out the main awards like Timon and Pumba, and Chief Eyofor conquered the mantle of the ungodly Uncle Scar.
The movie is one of the newest live performances by Disney, joining "Dumbo", "Aladdin" and "Lady and the Tramp".
The remake will be released next year.
