The heat was already in the Ohio area, so I get a series of illnesses that usually increase in the summer. The Hanta's virus is one of them, and so Healthy Serie, Rafael Borgo, reported that the first case of the season and the fourth was registered so far in 2018.

Seremi pointed out that the affected person is from the Rengo area, which is confirmed by the Institute of Public Health, which is the fourth case of the year. This is a young man at the age of 24, which becomes the first case of the summer season. The other three cases were registered between January and March this year.

In the latter case, Serema reports that the patient lives in the Lo de Lobo sector and is currently investigating where he could be infected, as he may have been in his home or at his workplace. This is why on this Friday, Seremi de Salud will contact the loved ones and the environment to determine where they were infected and the form.

The 24-year-old patient was admitted to the Torax Hospital in Santiago, where he remained steady in his seriousness.

The infected mouse eliminates the virus through urine, stools and saliva, and it is transmitted to humans primarily via the airways. Disease spreads by breathing small droplets, fresh or dried, or air, contaminated with saliva, urine or stools of an infected mouse.

Swallow food or water contaminated with urine, faeces or saliva from these rodents.

Have direct contact with excrement or secretions of infected mice (e.g., touching mice, live or dead, with bare hands, direct contact with wounds of mice or urine, saliva or stools).

Touch any object where the virus has been deposited (tools, utensils, furniture, clothes) and then bring your hand to your nose, eyes or mouth.

Being bitten by an infected mouse.

No data are available for transmitting the virus from insects, domestic animals or livestock. According to Minsal in Argentina, a case of possible human-to-human infection has been reported, although the mechanism of this transmission is unknown.
Respiratory infection occurs in closed places and with the recent presence of mice, so transmission is rare in the open air, exposed to wind and sun.

Among preventive measures, it should be ventilated for 30 minutes before entering confined spaces for a long time. After blowing, spray the floors and surfaces with water and chlorine. Then clean and clean. Keep the exterior of houses and warehouses without brush and rubbish. Keep the cellars ventilated and stacked without waste material. Stamping and deratization of sheds and warehouses. Keep food and water away from rodents, always keeping them in hermetically sealed containers. Avoid rodents entering homes by including holes and cavities where they can enter. Do not kill foxes, snakes and owls: they protect you from rodents.
Among the preventive measures to avoid the spread of the population going to camping and walks, the recommendation is to choose clean and free places for shrubs and pastures. Use a tent with a shutter and no holes. Store the food in strong, closed containers. Do not leave pots and utensils near mice.
Walk only on authorized walkways. Do not enter between shrubs and pastures. Do not harvest or consume wild fruits.
Store the garbage in closed containers, if necessary, bury it and drink only safe water (drinking, packed, cooked or disinfected).
