Indirect production subsector rose 3.39% between January and September, according to INEI | economy

The production of the manufacturing sector it increased by 1.19% in September 2018, accumulating an increase in January-September by 4.33%, according to the National Statistical Institute and Informatics (INEI ).

The enterprise reported that this positive result was due to the higher output of the "primary production" sub-sector (3.52%) and the non-processing industry sub-sector (0.52%), with the January-September growth of 7% 3.39%.

The main industries of the non-prime manufacturing sub-sector, which are characterized by their dynamics, are the manufacture of metal products for structural use and the production of plastics.

In September, the manufacture of metal products for structural use increased by 25.8% and this year recorded the highest percentage. In addition, during January-September 2018, it increased by 7.6%.

This result is the result of the larger production of frames, industrial frames, prefabricated modules, metal doors and windows for the domestic and foreign markets, as is the case with Bolivia, Ecuador and Honduras,

The production of plastic products also increased in September by 11.3% and gained six-month growth.

Also, during the period from January to September, the production of plastic products in different varieties increased by 4.6% and reached the highest so far accumulated rate.

Growth is due to the increased production of plastic packaging products, construction works and various plastic products, transport items, packaging and packaging to meet domestic and international demand for Mexico, Argentina, Puerto Rico, USA, Bolivia, Chile, Panama and Guatemala,
