After the Der Spiegel paper, based on "football leak" documents, revealed this Friday that Real Madrid's Captain Sergio Ramos would have done a positive test for dexamethasone in doping control after the test final of the Champions League 2017, as well as a number of irregularities in subsequent checks, the club responded by a press release stating that Sergio Ramos "has never violated the anti-doping rules".
The Merengue Club assured Friday that " UEFA has requested timely information and immediately closed the issue, as usual in these cases, following the inspection of the experts of the AMA World Anti-Doping Agency and of UEFA itself, "the ESPN portal reported.
According to the German publication, UEFA would close the case after the player and the club gave explanations by letter, "Human mistake" of the medical body.

According to "Football Leaks," the doctors of the club they do not report the use of the drug as they did when they explained that the player had received a knee injection with a different drug, although with the same effect, betamethasone one day earlier.
According to the club's explanation for UEFA, the player was treated a day before Real Madrid was crowned champion after winning Juventus 4-1 in which it was given injection intra-articular in the knee with different treatments.
UEFA would have given for good the doctor's explanation for the case.
The club, however, decided not to rule on the other allegations quoted by the German newspaper, which show several irregularities committed not only by Sergio Ramos, but by the medical staff of the club.
According to information published by EIC-related media, the player would be broken anti-doping protocol less than a year later.
As detailed by Der Spieguel on documents filtered by "Football Run" the player opposed the anti-doping test in April 2018. "Der Spiegel refers to a supposed letter sent by the Spanish anti-doping agency in Real Madrid in which he tells the medical team that the player has broken the shower protocol before being subject to the test.
