The cut will be developed to do the job of linking the new La Florida lake to the Las Rojas Dam, which will enrich the drinking water supply in La Serena and Coquimbo after the problems caused by the high turbidity of the Elqui River.
This introduction envisages an investment of 5 billion pesos.
The company has set up a contingency plan with 72 stationary tanks to supply drinking water to affected consumers.
