J. R. Calligham and her associates uncovered the threat of a star that, if operated, would release as much energy as that created by salt throughout his life, according to an article in Nature magazine, on November 19.
The star system belongs to Milky Way, and collects three stars at a distance of 8,000 light years from The Earth. It was also discovered that one of the stars is spinning at extreme speed, with the risk of explosion, producing long-lasting gamma rays, the most powerful in the universe.
"This system is probably the first of its kind found in our own galaxy"he says Benjamin Pope, NASA Sagan at the Center for Cosmology and Particle Physics, New York University, according to Science Daily.
Though the explosion lasted only a few seconds, the radiated energy would be as much as the solar generated in its entire existence.
However, scientists believe it will not affect the Earth; to reach it will destroy the layer ozone of the atmosphere.
On the other hand, there is the possibility pop be less powerful.
"The system could slow down and explode as normal supernova instead of causing gamma rays"he said Peter Tytyl, from The University of Sydney, who commented that he only had to wait and observe the behavior of the star Apofis, as indicated.
Apophis is called an ancient Egyptian god, symbolized in the form of a snake and incarnate evil forces, constantly fighting against God Ra,
