will continue separate projects to speed up the processing

– Very soon. This is the phrase that is repeated among the state authorities when they consult on the presentation of the new labor reform in Congress.

President Sebastian Pinera and Labor Minister Nicholas Monkeberg set the filing date before January 31. The initiative to be presented today in La Moneada, according to government sources, has already been postponed until the first weeks of March. In addition, the legislative holiday is starting today, so doubts about timing are obvious.

Regardless of the time, the reform has already been approved by President Pinera.

"After a detailed work with parliamentarians from the government and the opposition, with two masses, trade union and other expert techniques, and that the reform project is completed, approved by the president and he will set the right time to enter the but I assure you that it will be very soon, "said Minister Monkeberg.

Legislative strategy

But after the date for the government, the most important thing is that the measures presented have an effective procedure, so among the definitions is that instead of presenting a large 5-axis project (adaptability and reconciliation to work and family), new forms of employment, skills and better training, new forms of oversight and fairer collective relations), initiatives are set apart by both chambers, especially given that there will be changes in labor law that are sensitive to the opposition and the trade union world,

This, according to government sources, is set to date, but it also shows that the strategy can change from here to its presentation.

In this context, the battery of projects that cover almost 80% of the recommendations made by the technicians and the three trade union centers in the work tables can be handled in parallel.

While there is no clarity on the number of projects, it is planned to initiate an initiative related to collective and individual contracts of workers at the beginning of its design, and two for the modernization of the Labor Directorate (DT) and the Office of Training and Employment.

There is also an alternative that "more delicate" questions about former President Bachelet's reform of labor reform, how to resume negotiation groups and striking substitute forms are in one project, as these are issues that are already causing the rejection the opposition parliamentarians and the Central Trabadjadar Unit (CUT).

This is complicated by the complex scenario of changes in the compensation system for years of service that could go through its own band as there is no support from trade unions, both workers and employers, despite the fact that the authorities have indicated that this will be an alternative mechanism for the current (up to 11 years) and for each event.

So much so that the president himself would recognize the experts who gave his recommendations that this is a complex issue and is very difficult to accept as it is not part of the government program. Other issues that this reform will address are the flexibility of working days and new jobs through automation.

Everything indicates that the government's lack of government priority for the autonomous ENE project will be over. Yesterday, Economy Minister Jose Ramón Valente summoned in his version on this issue and said that by March, the executive will present the indications for the current draft of an Inner Energy Act that is being discussed with the urgent need of the Senate Finance Committee.

In this direction, Valente said that "the government has always said from the beginning that it likes the idea of an autonomous ENI, which we said several times that we want to wait for the right legislative space to do so and that the legislative space will be in the year 2019 so we hope to stimulate the autonomous INE project starting in March, with the idea of adding guidelines to this project.
