The exhibition is baptized Babel Czech artist and schedule Michal Shkapa will decorate the premises on the three floors and the exterior of the Villy Pellé Gallery on November 21st. Streetart and the graffiti, known under the pseudonym of the Throne, present their paintings with aerogram, graphics and three-dimensional conversions. The exhibition, which will last until January 27, will be published by Skopa in December as a monograph of the same name. The organizer said Sylvia Markova.
"So far, the largest monograph of the Shcopova exhibition Babel, which was prepared for the 40s, introduces the subtitle "All young men will witness the day Babylon falls," borrowed from the cult painting skates with curved blade launched in 1978. Shappa, using the exhibited works, reacted to urban structures that covered complicated civilization development through metaphors and referred to modern prophets who call the current western world a new Babylon for extinction.
The exhibition is dominated by one of the artistic positions of the author, focusing on the detailed composition compositions he writes with the help of a collage. "Various expressions and thematic lines – rational and intuitive space organization, visual coding, language, writing, or various other ways of writing and formulating ideas – are symbolically interwoven at the exhibition," Mark added.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the Airbrush Party Public Workshop on December 1. Within the framework of the exhibition there will be educational programs for schools and the general public. In January visitors will be able to attend a commented tour with author and curator Radko Wolmut.
