China's Huawei Technology Group, listed on the Trump administration's black list, plans to break several hundred jobs in the United States, The Wall Street Journal reported on sources close to the case.
The jobs removed will refer to the Futurewei Technologies subsidiary, which is responsible for research and development. The division employs about 850 people and has offices in Texas, California and Washington.
Washington suspects that Huawei spies on the Chinese army. The US administration is imposing sanctions on the Chinese telecom giant, blacklisted in May by the United States for the sake of national security. Recently, these sanctions were slightly relieved as the US and China resumed talks to end their trade war.
