The decision where the company is involved in marketing fuel through service station, the sale of heating oil, and the supply of compressed gas or natural gas to gas stations, is needed to send data electronically from the record of their sales using cash machines, including the amount of fuel they sell, signed by Deputy Finance Minister Katerina Papanatsiou.
The decision was part of a policy to tackle tax evasion and fuel smuggling, the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
These data will be sent to the AAD database per cash machine for each document issued, no later than at the end of the transaction carried out every day.
"Crossing the data is an important step for the Tax Authority to detect tax avoidance or fuel smuggling because the shuffle is a firm and unwavering target for the government," the Ministry of Finance said.
