More and more people are being given the opportunity to test a new version of Google's cartographic service, which is already using an expanded reality. This time the news was seen by journalists at Engadget.

This was a significant year for Google in 2018, not just because it paid an amazing amount of punishment. That's because this year we've introduced an improved version of Google Maps, which is a lot different than before.

The program works the same way as before, but the path to the title is now more visible to the user thanks to the expanded reality. A few hours have passed, but now another is done Engadget reports by journalists.

Although the two videos are similar, it is worth looking at this new one as it reveals more interesting things. On the one hand, you can see, for example, how the map changes from the usual navigation to the more futuristic view as the user picks up his phone. (If you're just wondering about it, you should turn it to 2:44).

In connection with development, the question arises about what Google wants to do with its own service, especially that the company owns the popular and well-known Waze. Some people say the company makes it impossible to use the latter with the use of such features.

The advantages and disadvantages of each application and navigation device are discussed in more detail in the HVG on Thursday.

If you want to know about such things at other times, please see the HVG Tech section of the Facebook page.
