PUBG Mobile is ready to receive a new update that is already on Beta's test servers over the past few days. The PUBG Mobile 0.14.0 update brings a remarkable new feature to the massively popular battle royal game, introducing zombies against deadly human defenders in a new mode called Infection Mode. The new mode sounds pretty exciting, with a Walking Dead-style survival element introduced into the game.
According to the released patch notes for the PUBG Mobile 0.14.0 update, the new infection mode in the game will be asymmetrical player-to-player mode in the classic battle royal style. In this case, once all players have been introduced, some will be arbitrarily turned into zombies, while the rest will form a team of human defenders. The goal of defenders is to survive until time is up. Those who spawn as zombies will have access to firearms, but instead can only attack through melee and other delay-based abilities. Defender will have standard access to weapons, but killing zombies does not guarantee survival – the undead may rise again. That is why in the team match it will be seen that defenders will get a decisive advantage where they win a round, even if one person survives the battle zone.
Aside from this rather substantial update, the rest of the patch notes detail much of the gradual changes. PUBG Mobile 0.14.0 comes with tweaks and visual user interface upgrades to select in-game mode, change how daily missions work, delete and select alternate missions up to three times a day, update PUBG Mobile symbol system and redefining goals that are necessary to achieve in order to earn level five rewards in the game. In addition, the PUBG Mobile 0.14.0 update includes more subtle enhancements, such as improved logic for automatic firearm selection, a slight tweak to optional backpack design, and a slight change to the player's UI.
The PUBG Mobile 0.14.0 update reaches the game universally on August 14th. It is important to note that there will be significant interruptions in the game, and the official handle of the game publisher has stated that the servers for PUBG Mobile will be interrupted for support from 05:30 to 9:30 IST. Considering the popularity of PUBG during the regular hours of the day in India, players in our country will be glad that they would not encounter downtime during their peak hours of games.
