Ambition Breaks Record, SpaceX Even Delays Rocket Launch

Jakarta – SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket should have made history when it was scheduled to launch on Monday (11/19). Unfortunately, the launch must be postponed.

The Falcon 9 rocket core was previously used in two launch missions this year. This delayed launch should be his third mission in a year, the first achievement for SpaceX's rocket core.

SpaceX also announced this delay through their official Twitter account. But, it was not further explained what caused this delay.

"Efforts to launch Spaceflight SSO-A: SmallSat Express on Monday were postponed for additional pre-flight inspections. After completion, we will confirm the new launch date," SpaceX wrote through its Twitter account, as quoted detikINET from Space, Monday (11/19/2018).

In this launch, Falcon 9 should bring 64 small satellites into orbit. Previously, the rocket core had launched the Bangabandhu-1 communications satellite for the Bangladesh government in May.

In August, the same rocket core also launched Telkom's Merah Putih satellite.

The success of reusing the Falcon 9 rocket core three times is certainly a special achievement for SpaceX. Especially considering their priority to cut the cost of space travel using rockets repeatedly can be achieved. (vim / fyk)
