The Huawei Mate X folding mobile phone is again experiencing a delay in launch. At a press conference in China, the company told TechRadar that the device is unlikely to launch in September.

Previously, the cellphone was scheduled to air in June, but the intention was reversed. The Mate X is also not launchable before November, though Huawei says it will launch the device this year.

throw The Verge (15/08/2019), TechRadar did not explain the reason for the delay.

It is not yet clear whether the reason is due to a further device check so that the mistakes made by Samsung in the Galaxy Fold are not repeated, or whether this relates to the company's business status with important partners like Arm and Google requesting to delay the launch.

The Mate X was unveiled for the first time at the 2019 World Mobile Congress. The foldable mobile phone became the closest competitor to Samsung Galaxy Fold, causing little controversy when it launched.

The device will be supported by 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage capacity and is expected to be marketed at a cost of Rp 35.9 million. Its rival, the Galaxy Fold, is priced at around Rp 27.7 million.
