JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi overhauled the Board of Air Transportation Board of Transportation. Polana Banguningsih Pramesti officially holds the new Director General (DG) of Air Transportation on Monday (11/12/2018).
The inauguration of Polana officially ended the empty seat of the Director General of Air Transportation for 4 months since being held by Agus Santoso. The Minister of Transportation advised the new Director General of Air Transportation to improve the flight safety factor and maintain Indonesia's air safety rating or ranking internationally.
"Carry out the task professionally and follow up on the things we are facing. "Trying to maintain an aviation safety rating that has received good grades from international aviation institutions such as EU, ICAO and FAA," Budi Karya said in a press statement on Monday (11/12/2018).

Polana conveyed, previously he had indeed joined the Directorate of Air Transportation since 1987. He had also been assigned to Angkasa Pura I. However, since this year, he has returned to the Directorate General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation.
