Suarapalu.com, Jakarta- Astronomers in the Canary Islands, Spain, have announced a series of recent planetary discoveries. Astrophysicist Rafael Luque of the Spanish Institute of Astrophysics said that the team of international astronomers who led it was able to find a new solar system with a planet that could be inhabited by humans.

These three planets were discovered in orbit GJ 357, a Red Dwarf star, low sun, and in a cooling phase of 31 light years. The distance is relatively close enough in the context of space.

The detected data was also reported by NASA from the results of the monitoring of the planet TESS satellite. The planet called GJ 257d, which is farthest from the sun, is expected to be inhabited by humans. While the other two planets are considered too hot.

The condition of a planet is considered to be habitable, included in the rocky plains. In addition, it has a size similar to Earth, and the distance between the planet and the sun is located in the Goldilocks zone, not too far and not too close. So, allowing the right water temperature is the key to life.

According to AFP Luque, the new planet has the same distance from the sun as the distance from Mars to the sun, so the new planet is calculated at -53 degrees Celsius or -63.4 Fahrenheit.

Researchers also estimate that the 257d GJ is about the same size as the ground. Or it can reach twice. But this planet is not the first discovery of a human habitable planet, (EP / VOA / Taf / INI network)
