Two people were arrested after the gardai confiscated goods worth € 180,000 in Cork last night.
The big findings came after police raided two houses in Maulbaun Estate, Passage West, around 11pm.
During the search process, the gardai found a large number of drugs including marijuana resin, ecstasy tablets, potions of marijuana and cocaine.
A number of cash was also confiscated.
Two men, in their 40s and 50s, were arrested at the scene and are currently detained under Part 2 of the Judicial Criminal Trafficking Act, 1996 in Bridewell Garda Station, Cork.
On Saturday night the gardai confirmed that the two men had been released without charge, while a file would be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.
A guard spokesman said: "Gardaí from the Cork City Division Drug Unit has seized a number of drugs with an estimated street value of € 180,000 (delayed analysis) and arrested two men during the planned operation targeting sales and supply of medicines in Cork City.
"A planned search of two houses takes place in Maulbaun Estate, Passage West, Cork at 11pm on Friday night November 9 2018.
"During the search process, a number of marijuana resins, ecstasy tablets, potions of marijuana and cocaine were confiscated along with some cash.
"Both men (1 x mid 50s & 1 x late 40s) were arrested at the crime scene and are currently detained under Part 2 of the Criminal Justice Trafficking Act, 1996 in Bridewell Garda Station, Cork. They can be held up to seven days. "
