Since the beginning of the year, a new and long-awaited athletics hall has been built in the Parventa sports complex. The construction of the 3rd gymnasium hall and the library, which now includes a gym and gym, were rebuilt during construction. These facilities are connected to the Pārventa sports complex by constructing a passage. Athletics and fitness facilities include new floors, new heating and ventilation systems, new showers, toilets and changing rooms.
The new 285 m² gym and gym is equipped with modern equipment and will enable high-quality athletes to provide a better training process, as well as be accessible to residents of Parventa and the city of the Left, sports clubs and athletes. sports lessons.
Increasingly, Ventspils residents are paying attention to healthy lifestyles, attending sporting events and using the sports facilities offered by Ventspils. To prevent Parvent residents interested in general fitness and fitness visits from having to navigate the other side of the Vent River, the Ventspils City Council and the Ventspils Olympic Center decide to set up a fitness and fitness center the people of Parventa. The need for this was also confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by SKDS in 2016, in which 9% of respondents called for the expansion of existing sports infrastructure – improvement or construction of new gyms, playgrounds, outdoor training facilities.
The project for the construction of the gym is implemented by the Ventspils Olympic Center in cooperation with the Municipality of Ventspils and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia. The financing of EUR 950 000 for the construction of the gymnasium of the Sport Complex in Parventa is provided by the financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia for the implementation of projects for development of sports infrastructure of national importance.
