Trump is calling for more mental health clinics to reduce shooting incidents


US President Donald Trump says he supports serious investigations into firearms buyers, but said those responsible for the recent mass shootings are suffering from mental illness and that more sanatoriums should be created.

Trump said he spoke with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and many other Republicans about the issue of gun violence and use, and that "they don't want troubled people, dangerous people, really bad people, have a firearm."
