There is a semi-automatic clutch, but your toe switch moves you through the four Cub gears, keeping your ride simple and removing one of the main intimidation factors – to find out how to use the clutch lever – for the new racers. The semi-automatic centrifugal clutch turns on when you turn the choke but relax when you press the switch lever, then grab again while releasing it. The soft springs and slightly damped suspension ensure a consistent journey and fit the intended Cub role. The 26 mm reversible fork stops the Cub's front tire and the double strikes hold the rear. The processed 17-inch wheels mean that there will be many rubber options when the IRC tires wear out. Compared to Grom, the tires are narrower, but with a larger radius, which means that the obstacles are easier to cross and less glide on the tire, so a little better fuel economy.

The unique Honda Cub frames are made of pressed steel, but the new Super Cub gets a tubular steel chassis covered with a plastic box. In fact, the whole body of the new engine is plastic, except for the metal rear fender.

The Super Cub's 1 gallon fuel tank is good for 100 miles, says Honda. We did not get a chance to measure the fuel consumption of our press conference, but we will do it when we get the Super Cub in the test fleet. As for maximum speed, I saw 65 miles per hour on flat ground and there was still room to go. But this motorcycle is not associated with a reduction in the highest gear, and maintaining it up to 50 miles per hour for a general trip is much more convenient. This is likely to be adequate for many travelers, but it will cause us to avoid the South California highways, which usually move much faster than that.

Super Cub reminds me of the simpler times we just walk around, not a bike, to achieve top performance or think about things – and I love it. This is the fun, endless experience we all remember, from the start and now – with its $ 3600 MSRP – as accessible and accessible as ever.
