Judges' orders to avoid flooding at Tescoco airport; stops work in St. Lucia

A federal judge ordered the flood to be avoided New Mexico International Airport (NAIM) at Texcoco and stopped working indefinitely at Saint Lucia Air Force Base,

Mexico City's Fifth District Administrative Court granted final suspension in one of the pending appeals against the abolition of NAIM Texcoco, leaving Santa Lucia's construction paralyzed.

This brake will remain in effect until the judge determines whether the NAIM's cancellation is made under the Act.

A resolution notified this Thursday reaffirms the effects ordered by the Sixth Circuit Court of Administrative Affairs in Mexico City, which on Monday ruled an amparo appeal as a judge denied temporary suspension.

Thus, by granting the final suspension, Judge Petty ordered things to be maintained so that actions are taken to protect what has been done at NAIM and to avoid the flooding of its infrastructure.

Also, so that the construction of the Airport is not carried out at the Santa Lucia Military Base until the amparo is authorized, which may occur on August 27, a date set for a constitutional hearing.
