Intel introduced Intel Intelligent Compute Stick 2, designed to build smarter algorithms for AI and prototype computer vision on the web.
The Intel Neural Compute Stick 2 is based on the Intel Movidius Myriad X processor and is supported by the OpenVINO OpenVINO OpenVINO tool.
"The first generation of Intel's Neural Compute Stick has prompted a community of AI developers to operate with a form factor and price that did not exist before," said Naveen Rao, Intel vice president and general manager of the AI Products Group.
"We are excited to see what the next community is creating with the strong performance enhancement enhancement powered by the new Intel Neural Compute Stick 2."
For intelligent camera, dump, industrial robot, or intelligent home device developers, the Intel NCS 2 offers everything that's needed for a prototype faster and smarter, according to Intel.
The Intel NCS 2 runs on a standard USB 3.0 port and does not require additional hardware allowing users to seamlessly convert and then deploy computer-trained models to a wide range of native-based devices and without Internet or cloud-based connectivity.
