2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series spy photos and videos

The Mercedes-AMG GT has just been updated, but the bigger, worse and possibly faster version of the autonomous sports car of the Affalterbach tuner is spotted in Nürburgring and some surrounding streets.

The car looks like the GT R Pro, but it has clues that suggest that we are looking for a tester for something even harder. We are talking about the GT Black Series, comments AMG chief Tobias Moers, which will be ready for sale in 2020. This means we will probably see it as a 2021 model.

Developing a Black Series model is not just for juicing. Some readers will recall that the SLS AMG Black Series actually has a lower torque than the standard model.

If you had to risk suggesting, expect aerodynamic improvements, weight reduction, racing suspended suspension and suitably brighter look. We know that the tester shown here has a roll and lightweight plexiglas windshield.

If you look closely at some of the photos, you will notice that the central exhaust pipe, which is usually on the GT R, has been removed. Instead there are two exhaust pipes, one on both sides of the rear. They are hidden behind the diffuser. Such design is characteristic of the AMG GT4 racing car.

Under the hood will be the familiar 4-liter V-8 with a double turbocharger. It delivers 603 horsepower and 664 pound feet in the AMG GT 4-Doro Coupe super-sedan, and such an exit should be more than adequate to look at the GT Black Series, although there are rumors that we can see up to 700 hp. p. with some electrification. The GT R Pro is now one of the fastest production cars with rear wheel drive, Ring, with a time of 7: 04.63, and only has 577 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

At the waist of the car will be the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Many other 911 variants are controlled by the GT R Pro, so we would not be surprised if the GT Black Series has the 911 flagship. Other potential targets are McLaren's 600LT and Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

Stay tuned for updates while development continues.
