Photographs of a Honda Breeze production vehicle recently appeared in the Chinese Patent Office's database. Apart from the "Breeze" badge on the boot lid, the car is mostly identical to the popular crossover / jeep of the brand – CR-V.
The resemblance is particularly striking when viewed from the side (see the pictures and then compare them with the original CR-V of the video). However, the front and rear have been extensively redesigned. This includes the hood cover, the front grille, the two aprons and the lighting. The rear doors are also shaped differently in the Chinese version.
At 4,634 mm (15.2 feet), the Honda Breeze is noticeably longer than the source of inspiration (4,585 mm / 15.04 feet). At 2661 mm (8.73 feet), the wheelbase is said to be one millimeter longer than the international version.
Initially, the car will be delivered with a 1.5-liter turbocharger with a four-cylinder engine, burning gas for 193 hp. (144 kW) and 243 Nm (179 lb-ft) of torque. The conventional CR-V also comes with this engine and offers a choice of six-speed manual transmission and CVT. It also comes in a hybrid version, so we can expect that eventually China will get this one as well.
The Honda Breeze should celebrate its official premiere every day.
